One plant last year and another this year developed a type of wilt, where a section of the stem turned black and the leaves above wilted. If that section was removed below the blackened area, the problem developed in another part of the plant, suggesting that it comes from the root. Eventually the whole plant dies, section by section. The two cases are unrelated--different plant source, different cultivar, different pot, totally different area of the garden. Any thoughts?
