I have a beautiful hibiscus that my mother says is a tropical( I don't know the difference).I had it outside all summer and it had good foliage but did not flower. A few weeks ago, I brought it inside to a sunny window, due to the weather getting chilly early this year. It flowered soon after w/ beautiful blooms and has given us one bloom each day.
Why didn't it bloom outside this as in previous years and should I prune it (and how) now that it is finally blooming? Can anyone help? Also, is it normal to get only one bloom at a time?
