I'm an Alaskan transported to Northern California 4 yrs ago. A lot of difference in gardening!!With nearly 40 years in Anchorage, I had learned quite a lot and it stuck with me. Of course, for the most part I took my roses, pelargonium and fuchsias to the wonderful greenhouses around town, one in particular took excellent care of my babies. By the end of May i would go to the greenhouse and pick up all my beautiful flowers, bring them home and hang them...what a joy for an Alaskan with just barely 4 months to enjoy them...
