    I liked your DST blog, the wiki link was informative. I too heard the farmer story when I was growing up, humbug. I find the whole idea of it ridiculous in the tropics and feel rather manipulated by the extreme latitudes. Now it is even more confusing as Mexico did not extend it when the US and Canada did so we have a week on either end that the time differences are an hour more (or less). I always seem to have someone flying during that week and have to figure out when to pick them up.
