I didn't excactly find this in my garden. Instead I found it just outside Shanghai, China... I have never seen anything like this in my life and now I am left curious, so if anyone here would know the name of it and if it's dangerous then please tell me about it thanks :)
This is a female Nephila clavata, formerly considered a long-jawed orb weaver (family Tetragnathidae) it now belongs to the family Nephilidae (golden silk spiders). See http://tinyurl.com/ykby99h and http://tinyurl.com/yjny9tz for more information.
