| Common Loon versus grebe? Resin has pointed out this maybe a grebe. I'll post a series of pictures for comparision. Resin, if indeed this is a grebe (?) that would be a new sighting for me. I'm really excited with the prospect. Click the image for an enlarged view.

| Can you crop the pics and re-post, so the bird appears larger?

| Resin, usually I can crop the pictures. Lately I've technical problem with the old pc it keeps pop up reminding me that my vertual memory is low. And I need to delete unused storage files ect... I did that a couple of times, and I inadvertently whipped out my utubes and aol-mails and my digital camera's program. Sniff sniff -- one of the reason why I wasn't able to post pictures lately (as I've normally done so in the past). This weekend I may have to bring my pc to the shop for technical support. |

| Definitely a Grebe.
Lily I,m sure your YouTube uploads are still intact on the YouTube website. You could also re-format your PC back to the way it was when you bought it new, of course you'll need to put everything you want to keep on disc or a couple of flash drives. That's probably what the tech is going to end up doing for you anyways. If anyone has any questions on some PC problems send me a Dmail (I might be able to save you a buck or two) for something that could be a simple fix. I don't know everything but can build a PC and have built a few website's also. |

| Yep, a grebe; I was hoping to pin a species name on it with cropped pics.

| The coloring of this duck looks similar to our Pied-billed Ducks. Is it possibly that? |

| You mean Pied-billed Grebe, I guess? ;-) - yes, that's what I think it probably is.
