I've got some Virginia snakeroot (Aristolochia serpentaria) seeds to share
with those who have an interest in attracting the pipevine swallowtail to
their butterfly garden.
Send a long SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) to:
Loess Roots
POB 877
Stanton, NE 68779
Make sure you indicate you are wanting the Virginia snakeroot seeds.
For those not familiar with this plant, it is a favored native host plant
for the pipevine swallowtail. The plant is a perennial, does not get large
(say 15 inches high when mature), requires shade, and prefers rich soil with
moderate moisture. It grows as far north as Zone 4.
Looking forward to sharing!
