Can either of you say why there is that hexagonal pattern on its eyes? Is it "apparent" because of the structure of the eye, or is there really some hexagonal pattern there? (Hope that question makes some sense).
The hexagonal pattern simply is a reflection of sunlight from the facets of its compound eye that happened to be pointing directly at the camera lens; it is not a structure on or within the eye itself.
