"Ah! My head! The blood! Wait, how can I talk without a head? Ahhh, I'm a headless talking ghost bird or a Blood-breasted Gross-beakless!

I couldn't wait for Halloween! Please share your headless birds, crows, owls, any scary bird!

Beware of the Black Vulture on Halloween night, or any night, in fact. I had a very eerie feeling photographing these vultures as they looked down on me from about 15 feet above. I didn't like the way they were looking at me.

They gather where death has already occurred, or just maybe, where it is imminent. So if you see any on Halloween, I would be inclined to stay inside. I know I will ...

Happy Halloween !!!

Elphaba,
Quoted:
B.B. Grossbeakless
. lol.

Al, the Black Vulture is a terrific catch for Halloween.

Burd-Foto, the "Scare Tactic" works! It's recommended for a spooky movies' tittle.

Duc. Your "Headless guy" is a mystery? What kind of bird is he? I like that shot.

I know, I know many of us favor this colorful birds. But,has any of us ever thought this fella is all dressed up for Halloween year- round? :-)

Happy Halloween! Love these pics! Nanny you are queen of the headless!
Linth -- those vultures are spooktacular!!!
Burd -- is that vulture on your house? Yikes!
Lily_love -- glad you liked my BB grossbeakless! Great shot too.

I'm so tired. At least 100 trick or treaters so far. I'm ready to get out of this costume! I know, you don't have to dress up to hand out candy, but the kids like it. Oh heck, I like it too!

This GBH is waiting for Tricks or Fish time... too. Wooohoooo. I and hubby watched 'Last Chance Harvey' with Dustin Hoffman. What a good movies that is! I don't know what's it about Dustin he always makes me laugh and cry with his movies!

Another Halloween is behind us! So everyone, remember to set our clock back once more.

Nanny, that was so funny.

I know Halloween (which we don't celebrate anyway) has been and gone, but can I add an Osprey?

That's a great headless Osprey! You don't celebrate Halloween? That's tragic. You should start a trend. I have such a blast scaring the children and eating the candy. I eat as much as I give away.

That's so funny, Elphaba. Halloween has no cultural significance here, but over the last 20-30 years Halloween is "celebrated" by some antisocial gits who see it as an excuse to go on a rampage of senseless vandalism, daubing paint or egging anything and everything that comes within reach. If they didn't use the excuse of "Halloween", their activity would be the same, but under another name.

I have asked my friends who've traveled the globe "if you could live anywhwere in the world, where would you live?" Without a pause, they have all said Sydney, Australia. I'm pretty sure that when I spread the word about this no Halloween thing, that's all gonna change!
