i have been in need of a plant that can tolerate a dry, hot, windy area and yet look pretty decent all year long. i saw these at lowes yesterday so i picked up two of them. i got the L. frutescens, aka Texas Sage or Texas Ranger. i know they don't like regular watering and i'm wondering just how to water until they get established. normally any plant i put in the ground gets watered at least every other day if not every day for the first few weeks and then i start slacking off. i really don't want to kill these two. i'm saving my receipt and both pots just in case (the good old one year warranty).
any thoughts?
