I thought I had the tag for these, but I don't. They reach about 7' after they are planted at the end of April in zone 5b Columbus. The red is a "real red" without any orange or pink tinges. I've gone through all of DG's Cannas but couldn't ID them. Thanks.

That's a good match for the color. I initially dropped it from consideration because the DG PlantFiles had it listed as 4-6' and these are definitely taller. I also considered C. "Regal Red" and C. "Black Magic" bacause they are listed as being taller.

Is 'Royal Red' something that might commonly be purchased? A gardener we had purchased them locally perhaps ten years ago.

Thanks.

I am going through my wholesale catalogs. I found Red King Humbert. They can be anywhere from 4-7 feet. The Dwarfs are 4 feet. The Giants are 7 feet. I will keep looking for more... There are hundreds but not all get 7 feet tall.

Mslehv, you might also want to ask on the canna forum. Someone there may recognize your plant.
