Perennial, gray leaves (kinda like lambs ear but not as cushy), red flowers, spreads to 3-4 feet, height maybe up to 18 inches, branches break easily, propagation simple-stick a broken branch in the ground.
I live in South Central TX (90 miles northe of Houston) and got the plant at a nursery in Nacogdoches. It does well in winter, coming back every year.
It has a real long name that I can't remember. I can sent a picture tomorrow.
