In the spring, I moved into a new house in suburban Philadelphia. This stuff took over quite a bit of the yard already. What is it? How do I get it out of my yard?

It is Glechoma Hederacea, also called Creeping Charlie and Groung Ivy. It's been a pest in my yard for decades. It is easily pulled up, thankfully, but not so easily gotten rid of. Here's a good article on it:

Thanks much for the info.

From my six months or so with this beast in my yard, I'd use a lot more colorful language than "Creeping Charlie" to describe it.

Onto figuring out how to get rid of it...

;-() Good one!

Oh, Creeping Charlie is no laughing matter, I know. Maybe he could be re-named -- Dave ought to have a contest with submissions for that!
