I posted in Vegetable Gardening yesterday about how my fall veggies are doing really poorly, and some suggested that Florida may not be cool enough for the "cool season" crops. I planted spinach, snap peas, lettuces, beets, cauliflower, onions, shallots, leeks, and marigolds. The only thing that is up after almost a month is a few marigolds, peas (which are yellowing), and one lettuce (out of probably 30 or so seeds planted), and nothing is more than 2-3" tall. I am so sad! I had such high hopes! I should probably tell you that I'm new at all of this, so I am most likely making a novice mistake. I am hoping some fellow Floridians will have more specific advice :)
