My 4' Y. Rostrata has been in the ground (not great soil) for almost two years & looked ok even though it hasn't grown much or bloomed at all.
However, a hiccup with the summer water system coupled with some very wet weather recently have left it badly waterlogged & seemingly without any 'grip' at the base.
Will it survive transplanting in its current plight - maybe into a large pot or container where it is easier to control the drainage?
The winter is mild but often rainy whilst Summer can be dry for months on end so it may have been suffering from its own (Summer) water & the excess from a nearby P. Roebellini & a trellis climber. I thought a couple of litres twice a week was ok but in hindsight probably a bit much.
Apologies for lack of photo but any advice most welcome.
Thanks in advance.
