Does anyone know whether or not you can eat the top of the Brussels sprouts plant? It's that hard, growing tip of the plant.

It is called spring greens in England, although some people call other brassicas that as well. They are lovely in Bubble and Squeak, or if you take the stem out of the leaves, great as a vegetable!
We always leave them till the frost has been on the sprouts as well as the tops.
Regards from England.
Neil.
