I have this tree take a look can you tell me what kind of tree and is this fruit ok to eat?

Looks like Arbutus unedo, Strawberry Tree.

Definitely Arbutus unedo, and by coincidence I just took some photos of that plant here in Vancouver, Washington this morning. Yes, the fruit is edible and quite tasty, very much like strawberries.
