I was doing some cleaning up around the yard and getting rid of some of the dead leaves on my aloes. When I pulled off a few of the dead leaves on my A. striata hybrid there was a horrid odor and this is what I discovered. You can see half the stem is still intact the other half is brown nasty mush. Is there any hope of saving this guy. Suggestions please. I have it propped up on that side right now so air can get in there. I thought about scraping away all the rotten parts. Would that be a good idea?
