Hi, I have 3 goldfish that are about 1 1/2 years old. They spent summer of 2008 and 2009 in an old clawfoot bathtub and have grown to 4-5 inches long.
They are acting real strange. They are in a 10 gallon tank and have almost cleared the right back corner of gravel and have heaped up some plastic decrative shells into the middle of the tank.
They sit almost motionless in that corner until I get their attention with food or our secret signals. LOL
My question I guess is, could one of them be getting ready to give birth. The one I question has a ragged tail and has spent the most time in the corner.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. They have found a place in our hearts, we call them the piranhas!
Oh, and if there may be young involved will they devour them as quickly as they did the mosquito larvae that I fed them all summer?
