I have posted this on a couple other threads so I please bare with me. Just want to remind everybody that fall/winter is the time to sow Wildflower Seeds in much of the US the Southern half especially. If nothing else toss out a handful of seeds that are native to your area. Come spring you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for your input, 1lisac. Would the same hold true in the midwest?

What zone are you in? I think you might have missed your fall sowing time but if I knew your zone I could check and tell you your spring sowing bracket. Those of us in the south don't get a second chance.

Thats the spirit. I'm taking advantage of all the rain to give them a good start.

1lisac,
Send some rain our way.
Hey just this evening there was an enlisted soldier currently stationed in Afghanistan on FOX news that sent a hello to his wife and baby in LIBERTY HILL TEXAS. Wish I remembered his name!

Was it FOX cable or regular TV? I'll try to catch the news tonight, after what happened at Fort Hood maybe they're safer over there. I decided to clean up the kitchen and get all my seeds out of it, needless to say I'm over whelmed and trying to rationalize that its ok to have seed packets on every available counter top.

The guy had a wife and a baby daughter. I *think* he may have said the baby's name is Claire but I am not sure.
