It jumped off with a click sound after I photographed never to be found again.

This is a planthopper (Hemiptera/Auchenorrhyncha: superfamily Fulgoroidea); it may be in the family Fulgoridae, but the characters needed for family determination cannot be seen. I have seen images of this insect elsewhere (see http://tinyurl.com/ye7wdkt for an example), but I have never seen a specific name for it.
