My son might be bitten by this spider, we are not sure about it... but my son is 2 years old and the bite looks more like a burn, and it is infected know, he is already on antibiotics, but I want to know more about this spider.
This is not a wolf spider of any kind, but a jumping spider (family Salticidae). The image is not clear enough for a specific i.d., but no jumping spiders are dangerous to humans. That aside, just about any spider bite can cause a local reaction, especially in sensitive individuals, and there always is a chance of secondary bacterial infection in any skin wound that is not cleaned properly.
