Howdy, Folks!

I saw these cute little flowers/berries on a plant today that was growing amongst a huge holly shrub. The leaves were a much lighter green than the holly leaves so that got my attention first, then I spied the red and white colors of the flowers, or are they berries? It looks like a flower or berry that has opened (in two) and a red "innard" has popped out.

The closest I can get to it is maybe a Euonymus but, have mercy(!), there seem to be so many Euonymus, and so many called E. japonica.

Have I guessed correctly or do any of you know how to narrow this down further?

Many Thanks!

I also took a pic of the foliage along with another cluster of "red and whites"...
