I just inherited this and have no idea what it is. If anyone recognizes is, please help me out so I can see what I need to do to keep it happy.
:)
Thanks!
Deb

Not a Hoya. Deb, I know what that plant is! I've had one for years ... just can't spit the name out at the moment, LOL.

Oh wait ... it's a Peperomia ... I will try to figure out which one and come back with a link!

Rachel: I just read my above post ... I apologize for sounding so knowitallish. I forget sometimes that the typed word can come out sounding a bit brash and when I re-read my post it sure didn't come across as being very nice. Please forgive me. That Peperomia does indeed look a lot like a Hoya! I have a few Hoya's as well as the Peperomia and this plant does have the shape of a Hoya.

Ahh Lin you do not owe me an apology. I did not take your post as being brash at all. Just glad that you came in behind me and made the correct I.D. Hope your not getting washed away in your part of Florida.

Rachel, you are so sweet. I re-read my post and thought I sounded a bit abrupt with my answer!

We don't have any rain yet ... a few sprinkles this evening but that's about it so far. It's been very dry here the past couple of months. We are heading into our dry time of year but are supposed to have a chance of rain tomorrow from Tropical Storm Ida that went up through the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall this morning. It's fizzling out but the system is supposed to make a u-turn and dump some rain down this way tomorrow. We are predicted to get from 1/2" - 1" which sure will be nice!

Rachel and Lin: Thanks to you both!
It's definitely a peperomia.

I'm amazed y'all don't have rain yet, Lin. We've had rain off and on most of today, and it's very welcome!

Hi ya Deb ... we're sure hoping for some rain. We've had gusty winds the past two days from the storm but the winds are supposed to subside and weather reports say we have a 50% chance of rain for most of the day tomorrow. Glad y'all got some of it, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Trackin, I have my moments, LOL but I do try to always be nice. I just realize sometimes that what we type doesn't show up on the page like we mean it ... so when I read something I've typed and it looks brash or abrupt I have try to apologize in case it's taken the wrong way. :-)

Oh goody! The weather folks said the rain would be coming from west to east so it looks like it may be heading our way if it's raining at your house!

I don't know a single person who isn't crabby once in awhile, LOL. I just try to keep to myself when I'm down or in a bad mood ... I don't like to subject others to it. I do know a couple of folks who are crabby ALL of the time, or at least it seems that way. :-)
