I found this tree growing wild on our farm
It seems to be some sort of large fruited crabapple.
Anyone know what it is?

Yep, crabapples. Possibly the cultivar 'Golden Hornet', but there are numerous other similar ones.

They are large crabapples then, near the size of small apples.
The inside flesh is golden, also.
The do not look ornamental crabapples to me.
