    Wonderful article Todd! Thank you! I was really glad to see you mention Iris typhifolia. I. typhifolia was only introduced in 1988, and is gaining popularity. New cultivars are being introduced all the time with I. typhifolia as a parent. Since they tend to be so early in the season, they are quite desirable. I have had customers ask for them this year.

    Species iris have always been my true iris loves.
