A friend of mine is sending me a few pawpaw seeds- do you think I could get one to survive in a big container until it's grown enough to handle sun? I haven't got shade in an appropriate place for in-ground planting.

Hi Pony...yes, that would work, it just must live beneath the protection of a bigger tree for awhile, maybe 2 or 3 years, maybe more. It also needs protection from the wind as well as direct sun, so keep that in mind.

I am so excited for you...you are gonna love this!

I think I have a spot for it, then... hopefully it will be willing to work with me on the container thing. :) Thank you for the info, M'dear!
