This sounds wonderful! I love mincemeat. My mom also made pickled watermelon rinds, which I thought would be too "weird" but turned out to be delicious! I can't wait to try this mincemeat recipe on Thanksgiving (in two days) and maybe starting a new tradition in my family.Thanks!
I have a recipe for GTMM given to me by a neighbor almost 40 years ago. It uses beef boullion and I think black coffee. I still have the recipe somewhere in the file box. The children were never terribly thrilled about it except when it was topped by a dry cake mix that had lots of melted butter poured over it, baked and hopefully served with ice cream. But Jack & I liked it. I think I still have a few jars somewhere tho they are quite old which seems to make the flavor more pronounced in almost every way.
