In SW FL, date palms are as common as ants at a picnic. My job requires me to have to forever prune these little beasts regularly. If I don't get the seed pods pruned out soon enough they burst. Leaving my clients pool cage looking like like someone took a giant powder puff and let loose. When not dodging thorns or cleaning up seeds I am in a constant battle with scale. Anyway the point to all this is until I read your article they we're on my top ten most hated list. I will probably still cuss when poked but my heart will soften as I remember your article and how as a little girl, you loved your little Como Palm.
Thanks for changing my thought pattern for the better!
