Knitting help - DPN's

Joplin, MO(Zone 6b)

A friend of mine is from Holland & she has a couple sets of DPN's that are 40cm in length. She's had them for I'd guess probably 30 yrs min. We needs more sets of various sizes. She was trained in school to knit on this length & can't move to smaller needles. I am having a horrid time trying to locate some. Does anyone know where I could possibly get them? Idk why they would stop making them. She taught me to knit & i can use shorter needles but the longer ones are so much easier to use. Please can you help.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

I recently saw some needles made from bamboo that, if memory serves, were longer than our usual dp needles. You might take a look for them.

Lafayette, NJ(Zone 6a)

Greykyttyn, I did a little searching and the 16" dpns are used for shetland lace. so I'm guessing they are smaller size needles.

The second link has a really large list of needles - you have to look closely for the dpns. I hope this helps.
