What an absolutely delightful story. I so hope your grandchildren grsp the tradition and carry on.

I have printed off the recipe and will try the chocolate ones. Seems my quest for a GOOD, CRISP sugar cookie has failed so far .. am beginning to think it's the fact I have recently purchased a gas oven after having had my electric one for over 20 years .. so .. ONWARD HO ho ho ^_^

Many thanks for the smiles

You are welcome. These can be cut out cookies and if you don't frost them, they can get quite crisp. Few around here remain frostingless - there are members of my family with major sweets addiction.

Sweet addictions run rampant in this home as well :-)
