Has anyone ws ensata seeds before?
If so any luck?
I will ws some seeds,I received in a trade.

I did. I got a bunch of seeds in 07.
WD'ed them in Feb of 07. I think they all germinated, as i had a lot of plants...
here is it winter of 09 and i have yet to see a bloom, but I have the foliage.

One thing i do recall with those... the seeds kept pushing back up to the top of the soil.
Who knows, maybe they need to be at teh surface, but i'd push them back in again...

here is one big pot... I never did get these into the ground, and i think after 2 yrs they never came back... I honestly can not recall ever planting them.

here... [before i cropped and optimized the photo] you could still see the seeds on the surface... so I guess they all didnt germinate, but close.

Nice! healthy looking seedlings.you may get blooms this summer.
Take photos of your 2007 ws japanese iris blooms.
Hope! you get some beauties and email me photos.
I plan on ws my iris seeds,this week.
I will sow the seeds a little deeper.

I just plunked them into the ground.

I do not believe I have a photo of them though... I just dug about an 12" circle in the ground and put them all in there.. no real spacing.

I ws the japanese iris seeds a couple days ago.I sowed the seeds a 1/2" deep.
Keeping me fingers crosses.
I ws lupine,moonflower inoxia,japanese iris,chestnut brown h.hock,charters violet h.hock,fiesta time h.hock.
