I love the yarrow because of its hardy nature, but being in Louisiana I've only had luck with the white, what other of the colors do you recomend would be good for zone 9-10? Thanks

I have never has any experience with them in warm climates. I would have thought if white worked there, then the coloured ones would work too. I expect the yellow might not work as they seem to prefer colder climates, but summer pastels should, in theory, work.
