Your article on using your local library is timely.
At a time when cut backs have meant cut backs and 'revision' of library services here and in the U.K. it seems that a lot of people do not make use this extremely valuable and usually FREE resource.
How many things can you get for nothing these days!
I generally get through 3 books a fortnight, but do not worry about dewey decimel, I browse, browse, browse. After all, time spent in a library is never wasted.
Although I usually take out fiction (Up to recently, I had an excellent 'Horticulture only' library at work), browsing can bring unexpected and often amazing trips into the weird and wonderful.
And as for cookbooks, they are a 'closed book' (ha ha) to be, but hey, all look at all those pretty pictures!
