We had our first harvest in 2009--waited until after a hard frost to pick--not a large harvest--it was our first--made a great pie

I had trouble getting the flesh away from rhe skin and the seeds. How did you do yousr?

Sorry, I missed the question--we cooked them up as is--spit the seeds out watermelon style

But you peeled them before you baked them?
