I love the stories. I have always enjoyed learning the history of plants thru Indian lore and also other countries beliefs.
It is always wonderful to hear such tales. Thanks for enlighening us of the fairy adventures.

Here is a little bit of lore to go with the fir tree picture. That picture was taken on Mt. Pinos, in California. That mountain was of some sacredness to the Chumash Indians. It was the highest mountain in their territory. I don't know if they knew that, but they thought that it was the center of the world. It really does look like that from the top - just mountain after mountain as far as you can see in every direction.
