Ok, I am not an expert but I am working at it. Maybe we can all help each other.
What is Facebook?:
Facebook is a place for people with similar interests to connect. You can join facebook as an organization, a business, or an individual or any combination. To join just go to the website : http://www.facebook.com. There will be a list of options. Currently, I am only registered as an individual and have my own homepage from which I can join other groups I am interested in.
Once you join you can search for your local Farmer's Market. If you would like to check out the Farmer's Markets I belong to search for them as follows:
Otsiningo Farmers' Market
or Downtown Binghamton Farmer's Market
The second group is not at all active and I am trying to fix that.
The best idea I have found to get members for your group, is to join as many sites local to you area. I have joined local service groups Chamber of Commerce church groups clubs. Everytime I respond to my Farmer's Market Site, my comment appears in the other groups home page when I post a link.
That is enough for now. Join Facebook and if you have any questions post them here and somone will try to answer them.
