This brought back many fond memories of my great grandmother and I walking the hills of our Pennsylvania camp, chewing on sassafrass twigs as we chatted and she shared her knowledge of the countryside. Sadly, an example of another fun thing todays children will never know.

Isn't that the truth! I am so glad to know I was not the only one chewing those twigs. And I'd still chew them if I only had a tree nearby.

But like a lot of other things, our children will never know.

Thanks for writing, very nice to hear from you.
