I actually like the smell of it, but then, it wasn't forced on me when I was a kid, lol. Sharon, you were wise beyond your years back then, if Hippocrates put honey in his, too (perhaps he had an Aunt Bett).
I use it to clean my dog's ears, too. Warmed and mixed with a little water so it doesn't burn; I don't know if that's necessary, but I do it anyway.

It does have a sort of clean smell, I'll give it that. It was all those years of drinking it that nearly did me in! And I sure didn't know a thing about Hippocrates back then, but I knew I needed something to get that vinegar down.
It can't hurt your dog, that's for sure, and it is a natural treatment, so I'm sure there'll be no problem.
