i agree with gitagal about the vitamin C...the sorrel that grows wild here has a lemony flavor and makes an excellent accent in a salad. by itself, like chewing on a non-chewable vitamin C tablet.

Good to know, thanks for sharing.

It'd be interesting to know all the different plants that go by the name 'sorrel'. I have used it in salads, but I don't remember it tasting of lemon.
