My mini rose wasn't exactly a 'rescue' or a bargain - I think it was $3. But the fragrance, which has been all but bred out of most garden roses, was intoxicating! The color was fabulous too. It bloomed on and off all summer - but forgive me, for I have sinned. I never planted in the earth, just left it in its pot. I'm almost sure it didn't make it through this winter, but stranger things have happened... let me tell you about my survivor-stevia! A pleasure to see this article again, which I'm sure inspired me to take the chance of buying a mini-rose at all!

Wow, I hope I'm not too late to find them! I've always wanted one, but have never treated myself to it. They are small enough so I can probably build a cage big enough to protect them from the deer...thanks for the info!
