Amazing article and excellent photos! Some of the plants were familiar to me from southern Africa. There is a plant called " The Sabi Star" which I seem to see on one of the picture - pretty pink flowers. It is protected in South Africa. Is the southern african baobab tree related to its Hawaain cousin? They are truly strange looking trees! Especially after an elephant had a snack from it!
