I started my tree from a seed which came from a "Florida Gold" grapefruit that I bought at the store. The original fruit had perfect sections. I started this tree in 1975, and it began to bear around 6 years. It was several years before it made really nice fruits, but even the smaller fruits had the perfect sections every time. The skins are rather thick, but as I am in a marginal citrus area heat-wise, all of my citrus have thicker skins. I have started several cuttings from this tree and they all are true to form.
