It is my understanding that most so-called Norfolk Pines are really the similar A. Columnaris which I believe is the mature tree pictured here. A. Heterophylla has more widely spaced branches. Most pines in Hawaii are A. Columnaris not Heterophylla. Columnaris lives in my Scotts Valley Ca garden but does get frostbite some years. May be less frost sensitive than Heterophylla as I do get some frost each year.
