You may want to read my earlier post subject "3 years old" before continuing. I hope that you have a sense of humor. I posted it 4.5.10 and the last post was 4.6.10.
The color of the flowers on the earlier post, in my memory, is amazingly close to the Peony blossom. Some one asked about the dark center in the flowers. I even responded that my memory said the staymens (if that is what they are called where yellow, or yellow and white. CLUE #1. And I said I thought it strange that the largest bud on the oldest section of the Peony hadn't blossomed yet. CLUE #2.
This morning I tore into the Peony only to discover that the previously pictured blossoms are not from the Peony at all, but from a Ranunculus (?) growing up and through the Peony. And then I noticed the new buds which are not at all buds of a Peony.
So my foolish conclusion is that I was wrong all along and the Peony has not blossomed, but when it does I think it will be a similar color to those earlier pics.
I could not get ranunculus to even grow for me. I'll try again by soaking them first, but it may just be a function of of geography. They certainly are gorgeous. The buds are furry and sort of shaped like poppies, so I can understand the confusion.l
Hola, OK you all ready for this?? Will the real Peony please stand up!! The big Peony flower bud is starting to open. So I will be posting pics of it as it does. And I do think that it will look somewhat like the ranunculus in color. Well we will find out anyway
