We've had Zephirine Drouhin for three years, and while the vines are healthy and beautiful, we have never had one bloom. We're in Zone 5. It's in a spot on an arbor that gets a lot of sunlight.

I'm not sure what to suggest... it's a reliable bloomer for me, although it did take a few years to get established and start blooming generously.

Maybe it needs a bit longer to get established. I am feeding it a 10-50-10 (bloom-booster) fertilizer and hoping that will help it along.

Let me know! I've read good reports about this rose from so many different locations... I'd hate to think it won't do well for you!

Zephirine Drouhin is making up for lost time! It is blooming prolifically now, and the scent is heavenly. Year 3 = leap year! or was it the Bloom Booster fertilizer? Whatever it was, it was worth the wait.

    I'm delighted to hear it!

Yep, that's perennials for ya.. first year they sleep, second year they creep, and the third year -- they leap!
