I still have some bamboo left. Please email me direct (aprdb@aol.com), do not post to this, I don't have time to read this regularly. My first post read...
I have a clump of Bamboo that needs to be reduced in size. It is a clumping bamboo that will grow to 8 or more feet tall. I think it's name is Green Goddess, however, I have no way to make absolutely sure of the name. Very beautiful and exotic looking. Will make a wonderful screen on your fence line. You will have to come and dig it up yourself. Make note! It is very hard work digging up bamboo. This bamboo is growing in very sandy loam so the soil is no problem. The hard part is separating the roots, as this is an old clump. Be prepared to bring your own tools and a very strong back. I will tell you by email which tools would be best. You will be taking away big roots and poles about 1 foot tall. The roots will send out new bamboo shoots. I will keep the bamboo poles. As you know, bamboo is very expensive. This is you opportunity to dig a lot of it to cover that eyesore in your yard or make a screen between you and those trashy neighbors. PLEASE-Do not post to this forum as a response to this post. Email me direct (aprdb@aol.com)as I do not have time to check this board for messages. This bamboo is located in League City Texas, (south of Houston). First come first served. When the first person finishes digging what they want, the next person will be contacted. FYI- I am positive that this is a clumping bamboo, I planted it myself many years ago and have watched it all this time. Do not waste my time trying to positively identify this bamboo, I do not care which one it is. I have enjoyed it for many years and you will too. I can email a photo to seriously interested persons.
