Once the buds are set will a frost turn them brown? We are expecting a freeze tonight and I wondering if I need to protect the buds from dying. One year some of the buds died on the vine.

It wouldn't hurt to cover them if you can. Just be sure that whatever you use for cover isn't touching the buds.

We're getting snow :(

So far the buds are still alive. Some are filling out some look stunted. I covered them when it dropped to 28 degrees. Thank you for your practical advice.
