I have tried to plant poppies from potted plants or starts from other people without much luck. I swore I wasn't going to try them again but then I found a beautiful lavender one at the greenhouse and I just had to take it home. Now I need advice on where and how to plant so that hopefully I don't kill this one.

Is it an Oriental Poppi?
If so just give it lots of compost when you dig the hole. They are hard to plant, the roots dont like to be disturbed.
