Thanks for the idea! I had a bunch of dusty millers that I was growing to add to my slowly expanding border. They were started in 2 liter soda bottles. When I moved them outside this weekend I just cut the bottom off them and had a quick collar to help keep the moisture in while they adjust to the outside.
Thanks for the idea. OK can be very dry in the summer and I think this will help the baby plants thrive.
I do the same thing as it is very windy where I live. All year I save gallon bottles and cut the bottom off. It is like a mini-greenhouse and I can plant things out early. It also works for peas and beans to keep the birds away.
